Flowering: produces white button-shaped flowers in late summer and bears seed that benefits wildlife.  Flowers are great nectar source for butterflies.   

Uses: attracts waterfowls, provides cover and food for wildlife, nectar for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds; used for erosion control. Found primarily in wet  or lowland areas.

Note: Prune in dormant season or early spring before new growth begins
