Uses: edible berries for people and animals, flowers are used to make tea, berries for jams and jellies.  Good wildlife food and cover. The elderberries are important sources of summer food for many kinds of songbirds. Also used for erosion control and stream bank stabilization while providing habitat for fish and other aquatic organisms.

Note:  If you are purchasing this seedling for consumption, the fruit of all elderberries should be cooked before consuming.
