Uses: Forms a large plant colony from the original. Fruit eaten by pheasants and grouse. Provides good winter cover and habitat for migrant songbirds - especially warblers. Found along streams and embankments. All dogwoods are host plants for Azure butterflies and food plants for many butterfly species.
