Flowering Dates: May-June; greenish-white inconspicuous flowers appear
Seed Dispersal Dates: late winter-spring; flat, thick, woody legume
Uses: Drainages, moist wooded ravines and bottomland areas for stabilization, farmsteads, rocky hillsides, shade tree. Used in ash and elm tree replacement plantings.
Note: Very disease tolerant. Leaves and seeds are toxic to sheep, cattle, and horses.
